We give tethered hot air balloon rides in the official RE/MAX Hot air balloon to raise donations for the event. We were a little worried that we weren't going to be able to get the balloon in the air because of the weather but at around 8pm we were able to inflate it and give some rides. The neat thing about it is (unlike myspace) it's much more user friendly and you don't have to concern yourself with making a background for your page. You can also create different pages - like I did for our real estate office... click here. I'm still a rookie at it but I'm getting the hang of it.
I didn't grow up with the Internet; I only discovered it in college when you still had to go to a computer lab and use floppy disks. So I find it fascinating how the marketplace and socializing has changed with the evolution of the Internet. It truly is a global marketplace now.
Being in Real Estate it just makes sense to be "out there" on sites like Activerain and facebook and myspace and linkedin especially with our real estate market in Ithaca and the transient nature of it.
