Tompkins County Residential Real Estate Statistics: Comparison 2007 to 2008

From July 15th to July 31st, 2007, 91 listings closed. The average sales price was $216,757, and the average number of days on the market was 112. The median price was $189,900 and the median days on the market was 95.

From July 15th to July 31st, 2008,  68 properties closed: The average sales price was $204,306 and the average number of days on the market was 128. The median price was $176,250 and the median number of days on the market was 106.

HINT:

To freshen a house for showing, after opening the windows, slice an apple, add cinnamon and 2 cups of water, and simmer until the open house is over.
